Magnum Opus Book Covers was designed with you, the author, in mind. The cover of your book serves many purposes. With a graphic cover, you can state your title, state your name, and give a little icon to try to catch attention. Photography is unique in the fact that, as the old adage states, a picture is worth a thousand words. So wouldn’t it make more sense for your cover to not only tell the title and author, but also begin to convey your story, catch their eye, put them in an emotional state conducive to how you want them to feel, and jump start their imagination - all in the fraction of a second it takes to simply look at the cover?

As an artistic photographer, my works lend themselves to not only being visually striking, but have the ability to begin to tell your story. It is true that graphic covers can be very colorful. However, beyond the words, the cover doesn’t implant the story into their mind. I am an artistic photographer. What that means is that I take photography and manipulate the colors, lighting, and contrast. I add elements to the regular picture that aren’t there to enhance a certain feeling or to highlight a specific object. I direct your eyes to where I want you to look. I direct the emotion I want you to feel. By varying lighting, contrast, brightness, as well as items that are just a tick out of the ordinary at times, the mind locks onto these aspects as being “different” and will focus on it. That “lock” is what you are looking for when it comes to trying to grab your customer’s attention. Through the variety of different tools at my disposal, your cover will connect instantly with your customer and help make your book a sought after item.
